I learned lots about cooking by watching ‘Floyd’ and ‘Ready, Steady, Cook’. Floyd was great for style and R.S.C. for learning adaptation and simple cooking techniques, like frying butter in olive oil as a base for preparing vegetables and other ingredients.When Mrs. Bray came as a young student to the Institute of Psychiatry back in the naughty nineties, (se wasn’t Mrs. Bray then), I would wizz her into a supermarket and casually purchase a bottle of vino, and a few carrots before offering to cook for a party of eight back at her hostel.Food porn . . . brilliant! It changed my life 🙂

I don’t watch any, literally, as we don’t want to live with a television in the house & I like cooking without chefly instruction & I’ve got my own lifestyle (what? arrogant… moi?).
My husband (head chef in our catering company, MoreSouth) likes to watch recorded Master Classes sometimes on the computer.

Yes food porn, I think the funniest thing for me was the ‘Slutty Spaghetti’ by Nigella…it was comedy but wasn’t if you get what I mean. I also think some shows border on insulting….and the lifestyle cooking shows that are the worst are the weekend morning ones…gadgets, competitions all round a table…my favourite cooking programme was when I was really young, this oldere looking woman would cook with some school kids and then there would always be the finished item as if my magic in a drawer….and I still like BIG COOK LITTLE COOK (BBC children’s show) …just something about it!

We’re not big food porn TV fans, I loved Hell’s kitchen when it was Ramsey and then Novelli, I like the team aspect of the competition, that they have to work together to win.

My hubby kevinarrow loves Hell’s Kitchen the US version.
Babs Saul likes the Great British Bake-Off and has been known to make a cake or two 😉

The nearest I’ve got to emulating a TV chef was buying a culinary blow torch. I think my hubby took it and hid it…. hmmm, I want it back.
