@SarahArrow Exactly a lot of these high end restaurants have some stunning dishes but some of the menu is…well meh. 
 
I think Chinese food tastes even better from those US style take away boxes 🙂

You have a point about Michelin, and my experiences of swanky restaurants ended in the 90s when drug dealer boyfriend (I had no idea he was a drug dealer) got put away. We’d eat at Pont De La Tour and Quaglinos (amongst others) on a weekly basis, and the only food I can remember being good was the creme brulee. Quags was like a school dinner hall, loud, noisy and cramped but PDLT was lovely, overlooking the river.
 
I am now a regular in our local Chinese and our local Indian, and the company, as I eat from my tin foil container is marvelous 🙂 one day we may aspire to plates, but for now the food tastes better in the boxes…
