What a difference a couple of weeks can make to food in the news. Hold on, wait, no it doesn’t. It still has something for everyone, fear, horror, more fear and of course the stupid.

That will teach you to do trade with some dodgy sausage seller. Wait it affects us all? I thought virus laden food stories went out with mad cow disease. Surely that 6 pack of bangers won’t kill me? What do you mean I gotta cook ’em?

So why not make them one delicious drink? Yes the yanks have more to worry about than hepatitis, the DEWitos drink was tested on some US college students. Sorry but I already have a bit of sick in my mouth.

Don’t eat that burger you doughnut!

Yes there is yet another hugely calorific treat for your eating pleasure. This time it’s from the Hungry House chain of restaurants. Dubbed the ‘doughnut burger’ it does indeed live up to its inspired name as it really is a double beef patty bacon cheeseburger with a glazed doughnut both top and bottom. Well doesn’t that sound yummy!
