Day four and I am still going, yes I am impressed too.

Now I didn’t sleep well at all last night, so was feeling a bit rough. As I was unprepared for this juice fast I had a my first live G+ hangout today so there was no time to stop. Had a few mentally deranged moments in the day mostly because of my bank Santander, so not sure I can put that down to juicing or their ineptness, but I have found I can’t do fools this week. Which is a good thing!

I felt so inspired as soon as I started work ,I was doing that I was forgetting that it was time to juice and did slack off on the water in the day. I paid a price for that as later in the afternoon I felt really woozie, almost to the point I was going to eat something. It was not a nice feeling. I went as far as the kitchen and just couldn’t. It was like I am not ready to break this fast just yet.

If it wasn’t for the lovely packaged and pre-maid juices by the lovely lot at Soul Mate Food I think the breaking of the juice cleanse would have happened without too much struggle. I guess you are meant to take it easy when your body is being given a chance to rest, it makes sense.

Juice four is lovely deep red colour. I wasn’t sure when I looked at the list of what its got in it, as I got caught on the word currant, but red currant is fine if not a bit tangtastic.

This is one a great afternoon pick me up juice…and the colour is what I want my nails to be!

As the day is ending I am feeling strong and back on mission the wobble has gone. I am at my mum’s which is usually my food den, she has so much delicious stuff everywhere it would be rude not to eat. Yet I have managed it and it was aided by her saying wow you look really good.

I didn’t weigh myself before I started this so am not going to be able to report ‘lbs’ lost. Yet I do know things that were snug aren’t and I do know it isn’t permanent either unless I think about what and how I eat beyond this. I know I am never going to be raw, or just a juicer but I am going to be different in my approach to food, as anything once it becomes your master you do have to kick it to touch. Yet I am sure that makes me sound like I have an eating disorder, or some obesity issue. I assure you not. I have just never in my life had to diet or think about what I eat and the last few years just started to say, hey watch what you eat missy!

I did book myself a post cleanse lunch for Saturday, at somewhere quite special and appropriate to break such a cleanse and bulk fast, so clearly the short term end is in sight. Not going to tell you where just yet, it’s a surprise!

Whatever got me here, I am pleased it did. Going to decide whether to go for juicing next week again while I dream and this sleep is well deserved. Inside I may be crying as it has been tough but on the outside I am shining, I think quite literally. I just hope I don’t dream of pizzas as that would be cruel!

Sarupa Shah

Author information

Sarupa Shah

Sarupa Shah is The Celebrities Soul Agent and owner and founder of The Soul Agency. Yes, you read that right, after a day of only having juices and no bulky fibre, carbs, dairy, my usual diet, I didn’t wake up hungry.

First hurdle over.

I was also in a good mood and very productive. The juices today have remained interesting and delicious, but definitely tasted different. Take juice 2 for starters. Yesterday it tasted like a cinnamon bun (yes really) but today it was more limey.

I wonder if my taste buds are getting a detox too?

Having been recovering from a really bad cold last week, yeah yeah I shouldn’t be doing a detox, well I am, what was a shock today but not a surprise was the amount of snot I had. Not very foodie I know, but I am putting it down to the detox and my body raring to get going with a cleaner slate so to speak.

I did get a bit of a light headache in the early evening and I washed it away with water, which meant yet more visits to the toilet…well all this liquid is playing havoc with my bladder!

The most difficult part for me today has been working this evening, I ran an event and got every one attending some wine and nibbles. Not everyone drank wine, yet everyone nibbled apart from me. I did look longingly at a nut and wonder if licking the salt off would be cheating! Instead I took out Juice no. 5 and supped on something that made me feel like I love myself enough to give my body the break and nourishment it needs!

Not to end on a difficulty something really interesting happened, my face is after one day looking clearer and a mini breakout from yesterday morning, before I started juicing which would have taken ages to heal is virtually gone. Coincidence….? I don’t think so.

Everyone says day three will be better, well day two was pretty darn brilliant and more than anything the hunger pangs that started when I looked at the bar nibbles were not where I tripped up and that is the kind of self discipline of Queens, wouldn’t you agree…?

Well a few more sips on my chamomile tea and then off to bed, and no the tea has no caffeine!

Do you have any words of encouragement for me? Advice? Have you done a juice cleanse? Or maybe you have always wanted to do one? Talk to me by leaving a comment as I am not cooking this week, I have so much time to chat!

If you missed my day one adventure you can check it out here.

If you want to do your own juice cleanse and are in the UK, then these are the people I am using, Soul Mate Food. I paid for my own cleanse and then decided to document it, so neither me or Food on the Blog are affiliates or getting anything else out of recommending them except genuine pleasure!

Sarupa Shah

Author information

Sarupa Shah

Sarupa Shah is The Celebrities Soul Agent and owner and founder of The Soul Agency.
