Aloo Gobi – Potato & Cauliflower Curry

This classic Indian vegetable dish is so well loved I just had to share my version of Aloo Gobi in this (my first ever!) video. [svp]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F7oRENzQOUs[/svp] There are some tips and tricks in this video which will help you make the best tasting Aloo Gobi you've ever made!

Ingredients

  • ½ Large Cauliflower
  • 1 Large Potato
  • 1 Medium Onion (preferably a strong one!)
  • 2 Cloves of Garlic
  • 1 Piece of Fresh Ginger (same size as one clove of garlic)
  • 1 Green Chilli (Chopped)
  • 5 Tomatoes
  • 100-150 ml (½ Cup) Homemade Stock or Water
  • 2 Tsp Salt
  • 2 Tsp Cumin Seeds
  • 1 Tsp Mustard Seeds
  • 1 Tsp Turmeric
  • 4 Tsp Mild Curry Powder
  • 2-3 Tsp Fresh Lemon Juice
  • 1 Good Pinch of Chopped Coriander (Cilantro)
  • 7-8 Tbsp Oil for cooking
